Rock Lasso with James Dean

Here's a scene from Giant starring James Dean, Elizabeth Taylor, and Rock Hudson.

The style of knot throwing performed by James Dean in these two clips is referred to as rock lasso. The scenes appear a little before one hour into the movie.

A James Dean Rock Lasso contest is part of the annual James Dean Festival in Fairmont, Indiana, every September.
